HOW WEATHERPROOF IS A BADLANDS ROOF TENT? Our roof tents are manufactured using poly cotton canvas which needs to be weathered/soaked first before you use it in the rain the first time. Take out the mattress and then hose down the roof tent all over 5-10 minutes. This will allow the fibres to swell up and expand, when it dries the fibres will then shrink/contract and bind together which closes all the tiny needle holes and gaps within the yarns of the weave. we recommend then apply a waterproof coating to the fabric for extra piece of mind and protection. After 1-2 years, we recommend re applying the waterproof coating to the fabric.

If you live outside our shipping area, please feel free to get in contact with us and we can arrange a shipping quote. Can the Badlands tent be mounted on my car? What kind of rack do I need? With their universal mounting system, Badlands roof tents can be mounted on most vehicles in the market. Our tents are primarily designed to attach to a set of roof bars. Please contact us through our website.
How easy are the tents to mount and unmount? Very easy! You can mount and unmount them using just one spanner anytime you want, although we recommend leaving the tent mounted to your roof bars and just removing those instead! Badlands roof top tents can be loaded and unloaded by 2-4 people (It is easiest when you have 1 person per corner of the tent, however it can be managed with 2 people). The first time you mount the tent on your vehicle, it will take less than 30 minutes and once you get the hang of it, less than 10 minutes. Our largest tent is only 83kg which is surprisingly lightweight, considering its size when open.
Do I need any equipment to mount the Badlands Roof Tent on my car? The only additional item you will need for installation is the correct set of roof bars/ rack for your vehicle. All mounting hardware is provided with your Badlands tent and only a 13mm spanner is needed for the mounting hardware.
What is Badlands warranty? We will replace any defective parts for the first 6 months after purchase. If you need any replacement parts, we will endeavour to replace them at a competitive cost & shipping rate.
What is the ladder's weight limit? Yes, it is 150kg. For maximum safety, the ladder should be placed at the correct angle (ideally 75 degrees at the inside base of the ladder).
What fabric is the tent made of? Is it breathable? Our tent's is made from Poly Cotton Canvas. The poly/cotton is highly breathable, but care should be taken to dry the material after rain to avoid mould build up.

We offer a 14 day return policy for any unused items.
The return cost is down to the buyer, once the item is back in our warehouse and inspected, we expect to refund within 3-5 working days.
The original delivery cost is also included in the sale of the item, this will also be deducted from you refund. The amount will be based on your location, you will be informed of any deductions prior to the refund being processed.
